Byron Starks is the founder and Executive Director of Champions International,
Inc., a program for youth. Byron has reached over 40,000 children and young adults
across the southern region of Louisiana with his inspirational message of hope.

He and his wife, Angel, are both graduates of the University of Louisiana at
Lafayette, and the proud parents of three sons, B.J., Christon, and Caleb.
Byron is a former professional basketball player, having training experience with
the Utah Jazz and Miami Heat, and a collegiate player for the University of Louisiana
at Lafayette. His high school, college, and coaching accomplishments are impressive.

More notably, Byron gave up a professional career in basketball to pursue the call
to inspire young people to ‘conquer their fears and live their dreams’. His story will
touch your heart and light your soul.
