When you are preparing for a trip to LAX for drop
off or even just to pick someone up who is coming
home, there is often a significant amount of
stressed consideration given to the idea of dealing
with parking. Depending on what time of day you
are arriving home or leaving out, the lines of cars
and lack of available parking slots can be
extremely frustrating. That’s why it’s best to come
completely prepared for the adventure you’re about to undertake, working to create a less
stressful and more satisfying event. Remember, there are also other ways airport parking LAX
can be done.

LAX airport parking does have Central Terminal Area Parking structures available for dropping
off and picking up passengers, extended stays, and overnights. The cost for using the Central
Terminal Area Park Structures is $30.00 per day at maximum or $3.00 for the first hour and
$2.00 for every half hour or fraction of an hour after that. Prices are always subject to change and
it’s best to check the rates when you arrive. They are generally posted along each entrance of
every parking lot before you go in. There is also Economy Parking Lot C available for your use
with a $12.00 a day maximum charge.

If you are just using LAX airport parking to pick up an arriving passenger, you can always
choose the convenience of the Cell Phone Waiting Lot located at the corner of 96th Street and
Vicksburg Avenue. You can park for free for up to two hours until your expected arrival calls to
notify you to proceed to the Central Terminal Area to pick them up. However, you may not leave
your car at any time if you choose to wait in this manner. The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is adjacent
to Economy Parking Lot C and about ¼ of a mile from the passenger terminal area located at the
96th Street Bridge.

Remember, it’s best to plan for your airport parking both upon leaving and arrival back home
well in advance of being there. It’s also always a good idea to have a backup plan, just in case.
Whether you are being dropped off, using one of L.A.’s numerous shuttle services, a private limo
or party van, avoid running into trouble that can make you late for your departure by planning
early and keeping track of any changes that might take place. It never hurts to be a little too
prepared versus being caught off guard and unsure what to do.
