INTERNET USAGE
Students and Parents,
Please understand that my classes will make frequent use of a computer and the Internet. While
not absolutely required or necessary to complete assignments, having a computer allows for a
more convenient and altogether immersive means of accessing our content and materials. Mater
Academy has afforded us a world of technology that I intend on using to its fullest potential in
and outside of the classroom. That being said, I would strongly urge and respectfully suggest that
parents invest in providing a functioning computer and Internet connection at home if they have
not already done so. I firmly and truly believe it is an investment in your child’s future. I would
also readily suggest if you do not have access to and internet connected computer at home to
avail yourselves of our many public libraries and Mater Academy’s own Media Center for
computer-based learning

However, I am certainly sensitive to the realities of economics in the home. So long as students
approach me beforehand, I am more than happy to accommodate lessons and assignments for
students that do not have a computer at home.

TEACHER’S PLEDGE

I WILL ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE THE BEST TEACHER
POSSIBLE AND I WILL ENDEAVOR TO SHARE MY
KNOWLEDGE, MAKE LEARNING FUN, AND TREAT ALL
OTHERS WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY.

                                                      Mr. Rodriguez
