Go to Start Programs ESE Lab Software and open “arduino” to launch the Arduino IDE Figure 1: Arduino IDE Window ii. Copy /Write the code in the window provided. iii. Save the code in C:/User/ iv. Use Device Manager to change the port number of the Arduino Board (make sure the port number is always less than 9):: a. On the desktop, click with the right button on “My Computer” and select the option properties. b. Select the tab Hardware and then click on the option “Device Manager.” (If you receive an error message, don’t worry about it. Just click “Ok”). c. Click on the “+” sign next to “Ports (COM & LPT)” and check the port number to which the Arduino is connected. d. Go to the Tools menu of the Arduino IDE (Figure 2), and select the Serial Port (COM Port) to which the Arduino Board is connected to.
