The pigment content is approx. 50 %. Some of the data below pertain to the pigment. According to the data available, the pigment does not show acute toxic effects. Irritation to skin and mucous membranes have not been reported The pigment does not show any aquatic toxicity. Because of its inert, practically insoluble character, Eupolen® PE Yellow 09-6101 does not represent any hazard for the environment. From effluents, it can be removed mechanically. Incineration is the recommended form of disposal. During incineration, small proportions of hydrogen chloride may be emitted, they must be removed from the flue gas by appropriate means. Heavy metal contents

Eupolen® PE Yellow 09-6101 does not contain cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead or mercury in its formulation. Analyses of representative standard samples have shown that the sum of the total content of these elements is less than 100 mg/kg and thus below the limit laid down in the EU Directive on packaging and packaging waste, 94/62/ EC, and the American CONEG model. The requirements of the EU Directives on electronic devices, 2002/95/EC, and on end-of-live vehicles, 2000/53/EC, are met. On average, the content of technically unavoidable impurities are as follows: antimony arsenic cadmium chromium lead < < < < < 20 mg/kg 20 mg/kg 30 mg/kg 50 mg/kg 20 mg/kg mercury selenium zinc primary aromatic amines < < < < 20 mg/kg 20 mg/kg 20 mg/kg 100 mg/kg

The metal contents quoted are based on the detection limit of the method of analysis used (X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy). The actual contents may be significantly lower. Halogen content Eupolen® PE Yellow 09-6101 contain approx. 20.5 % organically combined chlorine.
