    Lead participant and architect in the design, development and deployment of the Engineering & Program
    Management Standard Process.This resulted in CMMI Level 3 certification at two Operating Units: Textron
    Defense Systems (located in Wilmington, MA) and Textron Marine and Landing Systems (located in New
    Orleans, LA).
    Led a team consisting of subject matter experts from each of the 5 Operating Units that developed and
    deployed a common set of standard DfX guidelines/checklists (DfA,DfC,DfM,DfR,DfT) .This addressed the
    stakeholders VOC, GAP analysis (lack of producible designs) and leveraged Industry and Business Unit (Bell,
    Cessna) Best Practices.
    Led a cross functional multi-site team (design, manufacturing and test engineering, production planning and
    control, program management, purchasing and quality) from each of the 5 Operating Units to develop and
    implement a Production Transition Process.This enabled a timely and efficient transition of development
    programs to production..
    Led a cross functional team that developed and implemented a Rapid Production Transition Process. This
    reduced the delivery of a functional product (complex sensor based electro/mechanical assembly) from
    contract award to the customer from 12 months to less than 6 months.
    Led an improvement activity (DMAIC project) to optimize the Systems Integration Lab (SIL) and resolve safety
    and compliance issues. Overcame cultural issues and implemented corrective actions, standard operating
    procedures, reorganizations, communications improvements and training. This achieved operational capability
    in support of a key customer milestone.

Director of Test Equipment/Tooling (1999-2006):
    Successfully developed and transitioned Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) highly complex, state-of-the-art
    custom Test Equipment & Tooling for acceptance testing of Infrared, Laser and Radar components and
    assemblies into Full Rate Production (over 250 units per day). Received high praise from the SFW
    Customer.
    Won the Textron 2003 Nova and Chairman Awards for innovation for the Production, Focus Align &
    Attachment Process. The estimated cost savings in the assembly and test time and equipment costs was
    $8M over 5 years.
    Introduced new technology and test techniques to enable rapid production testing of complex sensor based
    electronic assemblies: accelerated temperature testing and multi axis vibration testing (HALT/HASS),
    parallel testing of units under test, networked testers to automate data collection and repair and optimization
    of software code.
    Formally recognized as a Center of Excellence (COE) for test equipment development for Textron Operating
    Units: Systems, Lycoming and HR Textron based on performance, capability, efficiencies and ability to
    support off-site development.
    Led the successful project to fully automate Engine testing (15 Test Cells) using state-of-the-art equipment
    at Lycoming (Williamsport, PA) overcoming both cultural and technical obstacles. Ensured FAA
    requirements were being met.
    Led the successful transition, upgrade and new development of test equipment and tooling from
    Optoelectronics (CA) – Detectors, Sensors and HR Textron (CA) – PWAs, ATEG to Textron Systems (MA).
