Home Care Franchise Meets the Needs of the Chicago Senior Community
ComForcare Home Care franchise owner Jeff Bechar is one of the many ComForcare
franchise owners who found themselves dissatisfied with the quality of care available in
his community and chose to take matters into his own hands. After watching his parents
deal with services from their home care agency that he found unsatisfactory and realizing
there was a need for exceptional care services, Bechar opened ComForcare in Chicago –
a provider of private-duty non-medical home care.
Filling a Need for Exceptional Home Care
“I wasn’t happy with the quality of care that was being sent out to us,” he says. Mr.
Bechar’s business hires and trains certified nursing assistants to provide non-medical, in-
home care to people in Chicago, Lincolnwood, Skokie, Norridge, Park Ridge, Arlington
Heights and Oak Park. His team of professional caregivers offer home care services on a
full-time or part-time basis to meet the needs of each individual client. “The response
has been good from the clients and the families that use our care,” he says.
Making the Change
Before opening ComForcare, Bechar worked at a career in international business. At
times, he spent up to 75 percent of his time travelling the world. However, between
wanting to spend time with his children and helping his aging parents, Bechar felt it was
time for a career change. As a ComForcare business owner, Bechar has the opportunity
to do both while providing exceptional home care services for individuals in his
ComForcare offers companion and personal care for local clients. Home care services
range from light housework, meal preparation and errands, to hands-on feeding, toileting,
bathing, dressing and grooming. The goal of ComForcare is to provide services that help
seniors age in place in the comfort of their own home. By providing a greater measure of
independence and dignity, home care services make life more comfortable for seniors and
those in need of personal assistance in any other situation where they might be forced to
move because they need help to remain in their home.
A Fulfilling Career
Bechar finds that his new career brings a level of satisfaction that his former career could
never provide. Bechar and his team offer a greatly-needed service for the families in
their community and are able to truly make a difference in the lives of others while
bringing a better sense of balance to his own.
