Grand Knight’s Report – Graham Guthrie

Welcome to new member of our council, Tom Hollet. The September and October
Program Events Reports are due to State Council by 10/31/2012. The St. Brigid of
Kildare Parish Volunteer Dinner Dance is tentatively scheduled for February 16, 2013
and volunteers are needed for the planning committee. The Knights’ Recognition Mass
will be held on January 20, 2013 and a social gathering will be held afterwards in
Hendricks Hall. Volunteers are needed at Mary Beth Benney’s house on Saturday
October 13th at 8:00AM to complete yard work and minor repairs inside the home.

Treasurer’s Report – Larry Kramer – No Report

Financial Secretary Report – Joe Pizzino – Name tags are in for new members and
members that needed new tags.
Service Programs – Deputy Grand Knight – Jim Rocci – Next Planning Meeting is
Monday October 22, 2012 at 7:15 PM at Hendrick’s Hall Kelty Library.

      Church – Mike Sliclen – Roses for Mother’s needs volunteers for October 28th,
      November 11th and November 25th.

      Community – Don Beckman – Absent – Jeff Bertachi spoke about the
      upcoming Adopt A Highway event coming up on October 6th. Need 10 or more
      volunteers to clean the interchange at 270 / 33.

      Council – Greg Wagner – The KofC Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday
      October 21st and volunteers are needed. Knight of the Month for September 2012
      are Dave Soehner for Patriots Day Event, Dick O’Connor and Greg Arndt for
      Roses for Mother’s. Family of the Month is the Ray Bosche family.

      Family – Ray Bosche – Holiday party preparation and planning is underway and
      more details will be forthcoming. The Annual Father / Daughter Barn Dance will
      be held on November 10th—the sign up sheet is being passed around during the
      meeting and volunteers are needed.

      Youth – Mark Shenberger – Fruit of the Vine is scheduled for October 3rd and
      volunteers are to meet in the St. Brigid parking lot at 5:30PM. All volunteers
      must be certified in Protecting God’s Children in order to participate.

      Membership – Dan O’Connor –Tapestry weekend recap – 1 transfer into our
      Council and several potential members sign ups. Dan will be contacting all the
      men that indicated interest in joining our Council. Join the St. Brigid of Kildare

      Pro Life Director – Nick Heyob – Pray the Rosary every Saturday at 9:00 AM at
      Complete Health Care for Women. The Voter’s Guide for Catholics was passed
      out to the membership. On October 20th a number of Pro Life Events will be
      taking place…7AM - Mass at St. Patrick’s, 7:45AM – Rosary with the Dominican
      Friars at Founder’s Women’s Health Care Center, 9AM – Coffee and Donuts at
      St. Patrick’s Church, 9:30AM – Tour of the Women’s Health Care Center,
      12:00PM – Stop HHS Rally at City Hall

      Athletic Director – Greg Arndt – Basketball league will begin in December

Chancellor Report – Matt Daiker - Absent – Website design is being reviewed and a
presentation will be made at the upcoming Planning Meeting.

Dave Soehner advised that a group of Knights will be praying the Rosary at the London
prison at 6:30PM on Tuesday. Steve Cianca requested $200 to sponsor a Kairos resident
to attend a retreat.
