									                                    Autumn/Winter 2004
This Autumn inspiration comes straight from the heart of 19TH Century India, a veritable treasure trove of rich
influence. Indian miniatures, the sparkle of refined, elegant costumes and a combination of strong geometric
lines and glistening, lustrous patterns. Wondrous classical India and British Colonial heritage meet and are
transformed into contemporary textiles. The glorious and exquisite architectures of Lutyens – Awe inspiring
Connaught Place in Delhi - elegant Palanquins that transported the grand maharajahs and the Majestic Durbar
Hall where they held court – colonial expeditions to discover and collect rare and exotic plants & flowers, all
created a uniquely decorative, sumptuous & luxurious style.
