EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision administer mid to complex contracts such as revenue generating and contracts that
encompass multiple end users • conduct more complex, high-dollar purchases (often >$50,000) of materials, equipment,
services. and construction through the formal bid or RFP process • review and evaluate contracts, exercising discretion
and independent judgment • coordinate with contractors and Authority staff to ensure contract deliverables, terms, and
conditions are met • provide contract dispute resolution • secure adjustments and ensure standard compliance with legal
requirements • perform work of substantial importance, advising management, planning, negotiating, and representing the
Authority • conduct special business research projects as assigned, which includes contacting other public and private
agencies • perform specialized and responsible work in connection with locating sources of supply, including outreach and
utilization efforts for small, women-owned, disadvantaged, local, and minority businesses • develop, review and analyze
technical specifications and standards for products • interview prospective bidders • attend and conduct meetings •
perform mathematical calculations and comparisons, report generation, and final recommendation • process requisitions
and purchase order generation using automated systems • assist in establishing and recommending change of
procedures and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and more than five years related experience. A combination of
education and experience may be considered. Must be knowledgeable in Nevada Revised Statutes that apply to local
government purchasing. Certificate in C.P.M., CPPB, or equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Mobility to work in a typical office setting, use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed
materials and a VDT screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Must occasionally
lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

LVCVA is a public entity. Insurance premium paid 100% for employee and dependants, includes health, dental, vision,
and life insurance; ability to accrue personal time off up to 6 weeks per year; employer-paid Public Employees Retirement
