Mission
The Gadsden Arts Center Artists Guild (GAC Guild) is a service group of
Gadsden Arts, Inc. that exists to serve the art community and artists of the
region, Gadsden Arts Center membership, and Gadsden County Schools
through exhibitions and educational presentations.

This guild membership is open to all emerging to established artists in the region.
GAC Artists Guild membership dues are $100 per year.
Membership benefits

GAC receives a 30% commission on works sold (instead of 40%) in GAC Artists Guild installations (does not apply to
Art In Gadsden or other major exhibitions).
A Family Membership to the Gadsden Arts Center (Artists with GAC memberships that have been renewed within the
last 6 months pay the difference).

Quarterly educational presentations and art critiques, free for Artists Guild members.
Requirements
Guild members agree to lend their expertise as artists to the Center once each year, either by offering an educational
presentation for the public/schools/families, by assisting with exhibition preparation, or by assisting with an exhibition
opening reception.
Membership dues and contact information must be current (this is the artist-member’s responsibility).
Artists must furnish works for exhibition upon request, or may lose their spot in the quarterly artist exhibition rotation.
All work must be provided ready to install/hang, properly mounted or framed, with wire for hanging (no clips or
sawtoothed hangers).
All work for exhibition is accompanied by a Loan Agreement and W-9 form.
Each artist is responsible to bring/ship art work to and from GAC.
Artists Guild Gallery at the Café
In addition to the requirements listed above, work may not exceed 10 lbs. Gadsden Arts provides “s” hooks for
hanging the art; use 2 hooks per piece on the wire wall grid.
The Artists Guild Gallery does not offer a fire sprinkler system, and there is no gallery track lighting. There is
overhead lighting throughout.
The GAC Artists Guild Gallery is open during operating hours of Café (Mon-Sat, 10am–3pm).
The Gadsden Arts Center does not provide property insurance coverage for works of art exhibited in the Artists Guild
Gallery. GAC Staff take care to properly manage and protect the space and works therein; however, the exhibiting
artists accept complete liability for damage or loss to works of art exhibited in the GAC Artists Guild Gallery.
Remember
When bringing work for the Bates Community Room Gallery for an Artists Guild exhibition, bring 1-2 works of art.
When bringing work for the Artists Guild Gallery at the Café please bring 1-4 works of art.
