Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2012- 2013 school year at RECHS. Please read all of the information in this letter
carefully, and please contact me by e-mail or phone if you have any questions or concerns. I look
forward to a great semester!

Grading

      Tests                                                     40%
      Quizzes and Projects                                      30%
      Homework, Notebooks, and Class Participation              30%

       Grade                                                     100%



       Students will have a final exam that is comprehensive.

Projects: Students will have 2 projects, one each semester. Projects are to be worked on
independently outside of class.

Notebooks: Each student will be keeping a notebook that will be checked periodically.

Homework: I assign homework nightly and sometimes on weekends. All assignments are
checked and graded.

Tutoring: I will be available for tutoring on Wednesdays from 4 to 4:30 pm and Mondays from 2
to 3 pm. Students must make an appointment for tutoring the day prior and come prepared
with questions and notes.

Make-Up Policy: When a student is absent they have three days from the date of return to
submit missed work. Tests and quizzes must be made up within 2 days after they return. Student
must schedule an appointment to make-up tests and quizzes during their academic lab.

Late Policy: If a student fails to complete an assignment, they may turn in a late assignment one
day late with the highest possible grade of 70%.
