Region 1 Medical Reserve Corps Coalition Goals

                                 Goals & Progress
                                December 12, 2008

  1. Develop a mission statement modeled on the national MRC mission statement by
     December 12, 2008: “The mission of the Medical Reserve Corps Coalition for
     Region 1 Health Jurisdiction of Washington State is to improve the health and
     safety of our communities throughout this region by organizing and utilizing
     public health, medical and other volunteers.”
  2. Provide the Hospital Coalition with an initial list of the numbers and type of
     volunteers we have in the region by January 2009 and quarterly: partial list has
     been compiled by Shari Mattson Cooper.
  3. Formalize, in writing, Medical Reserve Corps Coalition for Region 1 Health
     Jurisdiction of Washington State by February 2009: Terry Clark has taken the
     lead and has prepared an initial Charter draft, which was reviewed by the
     Coalition members on December 5, 2008.
  4. By March 2009, we will have basic PPE for 100% of our membership.
  5. Develop a website presence by March 2009.
  6. Increase the regional MRC membership by 20% by August 2009.
  7. Have 80% of our members compliant in ICS 100 and NIMS 700 by August 2009.
  8. Participate in at least one training or exercise with our hospital partners by August
     2009 and report back to the Hospital Coalition. (We will participate in a surge
     capacity or ACF exercise if possible.)
