Responsible for implementing market strategies to identify business opportunities within varied logistics market segments and to develop
these opportunities into profitable consulting service contracts and/or operational contract logistics services. Responsibilities included;
support of APL Business Logistics Services and the Sales Marketing Group on a global basis, leading RFP and RFQ proposal processes,
Contract Negotiations, Project Implementation, Budget and Business Plan development. Special emphasis on contact and support of
outside customers and a close working relationship with second tier suppliers and 3PL providers. Position required extensive travel,
significant time spent in China. Established and chaired a Logistics Development Steering Team to guide the organization in rationalizing
and deploying human and fiscal resources, standardize training requirements and operational processes.

   Project Leader and LLP Managing Director for a major Automotive Logistics contract in China with General Motors. Responsible for
    the Sourcing and Management of the flow of vehicle parts from Brazil and China local suppliers to a Re-Distribution Center (RDC).
    Established the RDC operations and flow of material from the RDC to the plant site employing Lean Manufacturing and Material
    Handling strategies.
   Led Project Team in developing an RFP bid proposal as the LSP for B & Q, a major Home Building Retail operation expanding their
    existing operations in China. Project encompassed the management of imported and domestic product flows into and out of Regional
    Distribution Centers to be located throughout China.
   Led Project Team in developing an RFP bid proposal as the LLP for DOW Chemical Company in Zhangjiagang, PRC. Project
    encompassed the management of imported and domestic Materials and Finished Goods flows into and out of a Regional Distribution
    Center located in Zhangjiagang, and Regional Distribution Centers located throughout China.
   Led Project Team in developing an RFP bid proposal as the LLP for a major Transportation outsourcing initiative with the joint armed
    forces of the United States.

SHELL OIL COMPANY, Houston, TX                                                                               1994 - 2000

Global supplier of Hydro-Treating and Specialty Catalysts. Reported directly to the Vice President of Operations, responsibilities included
Supply Chain activities, including; Purchasing, Packaging, Logistics Planning, Distribution and Transportation. Established and chaired a
corporate wide Global Logistics Council

   Consolidated packaging material purchasing and developed new packaging specifications for domestic and export packaging
    materials, including a returnable packaging program reducing costs by $1 Million (34%).
   Developed RFQ and subsequent Core Carrier Program. Established Key Metrics, implemented, and reported KPI’s to measure carrier
    performance. Carrier base reduced to 35 carriers from 200+ pre-program.
   Negotiated new rail transportation agreements, which improved service and saved more than $1.2 Million annually.
   Conducted customer presentations and developed catalyst bulk transfer operations which resulted in improved service to our
    customers and an annualized cost reduction of $.8 Million for Criterion.
   Renegotiated Export contracts with steamship lines for Far East and European shipments, which resulted in reduced container
    demurrage and transportation costs of $.6 Million annually.

GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, GE PLASTICS, Parkersburg, WV                                                     1988 - 1994

   Led Polymerland in a Distribution Network consolidation joint venture with GE Plastics, yielding a $2 million savings.
   Consolidated packaging material specifications and purchasing, achieving savings of $250,000 annually.
   Implemented staging warehouses for export shipments, achieving an annual reduction in cost of $225,000.
