EquiMania Facebook Contest Rules 2012

							Fun Horse Behaviour – EquiMania! Photo Contest

Deadlines for entry: Entries accepted until January 15, 2012. By entering, contestants agree to allow
their submissions to be posted on the EquiMania! Facebook page. A celebrity panel of judges will
choose the top selections and post them on EquiMania’s Facebook page for the final vote.

Contest Winner: Winners will be notified by email and will have their submission posted on EquiMania’s
Facebook page. Contestants must be ‘a friend’ of the EquiMania Facebook page in order to be eligible to
win. Our 2 Winners will receive their EquiMania! prize package by mail.

Who can participate: There are 2 Categories available for you to show us an example of horse behavior
whether it is playing, rolling, funny faces, interacting or whatever tickles your funny bone about their
behavior. Please specify on your entry if you are:

    1) A contestant under 16 years old


    2) A contestant 16 years and up


Contestants must be a resident of Canada.

How to enter: You can enter the contest online by sending your photo, to eqmania@uoguelph.ca. Entries
will not be accepted by any other means.

Photos submitted online are accepted in most formats. They must be a minimum of 72 dpi and at least
500 pixels with respect to the photo’s width.


Contest Rules & Guidelines: Entries become the property of Equine Guelph. No acknowledgement of
receipt will be sent. All Online Entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account. Online Entries shall
be deemed to be submitted by the holder of the e-mail account.

License, waiver and release: You will retain all copyright in your submission. Equine Guelph reserves the
non-exclusive right to publish your submitted photo or use it in any promotional material. By participating
and submitting an Entry into this competition, you grant Equine Guelph a non-exclusive and royalty-free
right and license (but not the obligation), to use, reproduce, store, transmit, communicate your submitted
photo, in whole or in part, in any media, in marketing, advertising or promotional materials,
advertisements, or websites, by Equine Guelph and/or for the purpose of promoting your photo and its
submission to the contest. You grant these rights and this waiver to Equine Guelph free of charge. If you
are selected as a Winner, by accepting a prize you agree to grant Equine Guelph the above license to use
your submission on a non-exclusive basis. You agree that you own or control all of the rights in and to
your submitted photo and that it is wholly original with you and not copied in whole or in part from any
other work, and/or you have obtained all necessary rights or licenses in order to authorize use of your
photo for the above purposes, including any model releases.
