As the principal of both the Holland Township elementary and middle schools, I strive to
offer guidance and support so our teachers provide quality instruction that reflects best
practices, with a high degree of student interest and challenge. Providing our students
with an enriched learning environment requires our professional staff to continue to be
learners. We encourage our teachers to become teacher-leaders, furthering their
education, leading study groups, participating in workshops and collaborating with
professionals in their field.
Our students are learning and growing in a time of great connectivity. No longer is
education confined within the classroom walls. The use of technology is an exciting
learning tool that brings the world into our classrooms. Technology is incorporated into
classroom instruction to promote student achievement.
The typical school day is active and rich in interactions. We believe that positive
relationships foster confidence and a willingness to become involved. A respectful
environment is maintained throughout the school day. Our character education program
continues to promote citizenship, understanding and tolerance.
I welcome your involvement in your child’s school experience. Together, we can make
this a rewarding year.
