The Culver City Sister City Committee is looking for eight to twelve 9th to 11th grade students and families
interested in making a two-year commitment for a 10 day student exchange opportunity. You go to Iksan City,
South Korea this coming summer and then host a student the next summer. Students will learn about Korean
culture and stay with families that have a child of similar age. Most trip expenses are covered. For more

Service Learning Hours Opportunities:
-El Marino will be holding their Carnival on Saturday, October 27 from 11am to 3pm. Volunteers are needed from 8am on
to help set up and run games. They will get one free meal as well. Show up at 8am and check in with Mari at the
Halloween Bin by the drop zone.
-Volunteers needed for the LA County ALS walk on Sunday, October 21 at Exposition Park from 7:00 am to 2:00pm. Sign
up information available in the Athletics Office.
-Linwood Howe needs volunteers for the Fall Festival on Friday, October 26 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday during
the event starting anytime after 8am to finish setting up, run games and help clean up. Snack/Drinks or lunch will be
served for volunteers depending on amount of time. Please bring your Service Learning sheets to get signed off.
-Farragut’s Fall Festival is this Saturday, October 20th. Volunteers are needed to help set up, run games, and clean up.
