Physics Mini Project
Choose a topic that you are personally interested in that is
connected in some way to Physics.
Decide what aspect of this topic you want to TEACH to your
fellows and make a plan.
A research paper, 2-3 pages, complete with citations
within the text of your writing, and MLA formatting of
citations and bibliography.
A visual aid to assist understanding of concept being
taught. This could be a poster, PowerPoint or other
computer presentation etc.
An Interactive class activity which will help students learn
the concept you are teaching.
Class presentation 10-15 minutes in duration. You will be
timed, so be concise and prepared.
An assessment of student’s understanding of topic can be given
and results analyzed with plan for improvement. The assessment
can be a performance assessment or other more traditional
assessment. The results along with a PDSA form can be turned
in after presentation is made.

When I taught kinetic theory to Chemistry, I put a drop of food
coloring in a flask with hot water and also in a flask of cold
water. I asked the class to observe and explain what happened
in terms of kinetic theory. This gave me a good indication if they
understood the concept of particles in motion, and heated water
particles having more KE than cold, thereby dispersing the food
