Latest Projects
Project Name: Implementation of new core banking software system "Diasoft FA#"

Project Description: In 2007 Bank "Jugra" began transition to new core banking system in main office and 5 filials,
including modules for retail, security, and wholesale markets.

Activities:
 Architected and documented network infrastructure with VPN links to filials and remote offices. Designed
redundancy links and load-balancing via dynamic routing protocol (EIGRP). Installed and configured Cisco routers
and ASA 5510, PIX 515/506 firewalls. Established remote user access for home-workers.
 Planned and implemented Active Directory infrastructure with child domain controllers in filials and delegation
of control on filial's OU to local system administrators.
 Sized and estimated workload on servers, storage systems, tape libraries, routers and network security
appliances, proposed servers and network equipment specification.
 Installed and configured IBM xSeries 3850 M2 and 3950 servers with DS4700 storage subsystem and MPIO
         optical links. Configured RAID arrays.
 Installed and configured terminal servers on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Citrix XenApp 5.0 (load-balancing farm
for 200+ users). Implemented Thinprint .print printing system.
 Configured home folders redirection for terminal server users via group policy. Provided FTP access to home
directories of remote users based on their Active Directory profile.
 Installed and configured MS SQL 2005 x64 edition. Tuned and optimized performance of critical tasks,
troubleshooted blocking queries issues. Created scripts for transferring database from main to standby SQL
server, implemented user logins replication with preserving user's SID and password, so that switching from
working to standby environment was made easy.
 Implemented backup strategy with full, differential and transaction log backups for databases and other critical
data, configured IBM TS3100 tape library.

Project Name: Implementing corporate e-mail and instant messaging system based on open-source software.
Project Description: The main goal of the project was to implement efficient, easy-to-support and cost-effective
collaborative solution for the entire enterprise, while maintaining integration with Windows and Active Directory
environment.

Activities:
 Planned and designed Windows and Linux integrated network environment with Active Directory users
         authentication (Kerberos).
 Installed two Internet links via different providers for redundancy, got assignment for autonomous system(AS)
and public IP addresses, configured BGP routing.
 Configured SMTP/POP3 e-mail servers (postfix, dovecot) with virtual mailboxes and authentication in Active
Directory, connected anti-spam and antivirus filters. Developed extension DLL for Active Directory Users and
Computers MMC snap-in for managing additional user properties (e-mail aliases).
 Connected Microsoft Oulook address book via LDAP protocol to Active Directory controller.
 Installed jabberd2 XMPP instant-messaging server. Adapted Miranda messenger to work with jabber server.
Created PHP script for viewing a list of users as a web page with ability to search for users.

 Tested and documented the whole system.
 Maintained servers up and running with workload of about 500 users.

Project Name: Consolidation and virtualization of servers.
Project Description: Due to power limits in server room it was adviseable to reduce power consumption, minimize heat
emission, optimize air conditioning. To achieve it, servers were transferred into virtual environment hosted on Microsoft
Hyper-V R2 hypervisor.

Activities:
 Moved physical servers into virtual machines, trying to keep minimum down time.
 Monitored workload and performance of the virtual servers.
