 CORPORATE AND ACADEMIC SERVICES


                            CHANGE OF EXISTING AWARD TITLE

 Approval of changes to existing award titles are subject to decision by the University
 Curriculum Approval Panel.


        This form should be completed in consultation with the relevant QMEF account
         manager within the Quality Process Team within Corporate and Academic Services
         (CAS) and should provide evidence of the demand and appropriateness of the
         proposed title from students and alumni, employers and other partners, and that a
         market assessment has been carried out in consultation with Marketing and
         Admissions. Advice and comment on the proposal should be sought from the
         relevant Student Rep Staff Forum and at Department level with a clear rationale.
         The completed form should be signed by the Associate Dean (Learning Teaching
         and the Student Experience) and submitted to CAP for approval. The University
         Regulations and Procedures

         dures.aspx section B10.4 outlines the requirement for notifying students of changes
         to award titles.
        Please note that where changes to award titles require changes to the programme
         an MIA should be completed. This can be found on the Corporate and Academic
         Services website.
        Please attach the current programme specification with evidence that current
         students have been consulted (eg appropriate minutes from Student Rep Staff
         Forums) and evidence that Marketing and Communications have been consulted
         through the sign off section of this form.
