PRIORITY SITES APPOINTS ROBERT MCGUFFIE
Regeneration specialist Priority Sites has expanded its South West team with
the appointment of Robert McGuffie as senior development manager.
Robert was previously regeneration manager for the South West Regional
Development Agency, where he was responsible for delivering a variety of
high profile commercial and retail developments, including the £75 million St
Austell town centre redevelopment*.
He joins Priority Sites at a time when the company is progressing a £24.8
million programme of commercial development across the South West, and is
seeing thriving demand for its industrial and office premises – all completed
schemes that began in 2006 have already been sold.
Miles Carden, area development manager for Priority Sites commented:
“Robert will be a huge asset to our team as he brings with him a wealth of
experience and a great insight into the regeneration needs of the South
Robert adds: “I am delighted to have joined Priority Sites at a time when the
company is fast becoming the foremost regeneration specialist in the region,
and am looking forward to working closely with other regeneration bodies to
deliver schemes that are clearly benefiting the local business communities.”
Notes to editors:
*Robert grew up in Cornwall and graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1998 with a
2:1 in Estate Surveying. A qualified member of RICS, he started his career as a graduate
surveyor with English Partnerships, before becoming estate management surveyor for the
North West Regional Development Manager. He joined the South West RDA in 2001.
Priority Sites is one of England’s most active developers with a new building contract now
starting on average every four weeks. Its success is due to the fact that it provides quality
business premises that fit the needs of the companies that regional and local enterprise
agencies want to attract, bringing new, long-term jobs to parts of England that need them the
most. Unlike many commercial developers, building is done mainly speculatively, allowing
companies to either rent or buy. For further information visit the website
