					                                              Character Chart
This chart has been created in Word Tables so it can be modified to suit your WIP.
It is suggested that you keep a ‘Master Chart’ and make copies from that for use. This form can be
filled in on the computer, or printed and filled in by hand. Use one form per character.
To add lines in a section, highlight line, then click on ‘Table,’ then click on ‘Insert,’ then either ‘Rows Above’ or ‘Rows Below.’
To delete lines in a section, highlight, and then click on ‘Table,’ then click on ‘Delete,’ then click on ‘Rows.’
Entries longer than one line, or using ‘Enter,’ will expand the box so no additional lines are necessary.
OK to overwrite entries in left column as needed – highlight current entry, and then type new entry.
Character Identification = Character number and/or Type of Character. i.e. Protagonist, Major Character, Character for a Scene, etc.

Depending on the nature of the WIP, you may want to create a ‘family tree’ either for publication or just to keep your characters
straight while writing. There are free programs available online for this purpose. One I have used is: ‘My Heritage Family Tree.’
This is easy to use, and even a large chart is printable (in sections).
