Northwood University to Honor Wendy Lopez
as 2009 Outstanding Business Leader
PALM BEACH, Florida – January, 2009 Northwood University will recognize Wendy Lopez, Vice President of URS
Corporation as one of five nationally known business men and women at its 29 Annual Outstanding Business Leader
(OBL) Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 24 , 2009 at The Breakers, Palm Beach.
Wendy Lopez, Vice President of URS Corporation, is tasked with increasing URS Corporation’s infrastructure business in
the high-growth Texas market.
The co-founder and CEO of LOPEZGARCIA GROUP, Lopez played a major role in growing the practice into multiple
areas of engineering, environmental services and planning, with its employee base expanding from one to over 200
employees upon its purchase by URS in August 2008.
