                                            JOB DESCRIPTION

                                         Preschool Teacher Aide


DEFINITION

The preschool teacher aide shall be under the supervision and guidance of both the Lead Teacher and
Director. This position may require the designee to be assigned to more than one facility location. This is
an hourly position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

 To teach children from a prescribed curriculum.
 To work under the guidance and instruction of the Director and Teacher
 To participate in the successful development of a clean, safe and healthy learning environment
 To perform all of the duties set forth in Title 22 Section 101216.1 of the California Code of Regulations
 Have knowledge of the Child Abuse and other Reporting Requirements as set forth in Title 22 Section
  101212 of the California Code of Regulations.
 To attend all required staff trainings and meetings
 To perform all job related duties as directed by the Administrator, Director and/or Lead Teacher.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

 Must have completed no less than 2 postsecondary units in Early Childhood education and be
  continuously enrolled in at least 2 units.
 Must have current Criminal Record/FBI and Child Abuse Index clearances.
 Must have a current Physician’s Report and TB Test result.
 Must be capable of teaching assigned curriculum.
 Must work well with staff, children and parents.
