Task:
     A group of students from Hong Kong, that you and your class have been
      communicating with through email, have just informed you that they are
      coming to the United States for a visit. They will have only two weeks to
      tour a region of the United States, but they are first going to stop by your
      classroom to visit with you and your classmates. They need advice about
      where to visit during their two week stay. They would like to know about
      different tourist attractions, famous people, the physical features of the
      land and much more. How can you convince them to visit the Southeast
      region?

Process:
     Assign each person in your group a job:

         o   Travel Agent - researches major tourists attractions
         o   Historian- researches interesting facts
         o   Geographer- studies the lay of the land
         o   Cartographer- involved with mapmaking

                          ** This form includes all the information that should be
                           included and organized into your PowerPoint
                           presentation.**

     Research using books and the Internet

         o Group members should check out books from the library and
           use books from the 4th grade room.

     Group Meeting

         o Once all members have found their assigned research, meet to
             discuss and plan out the presentation.

     PowerPoint Work

         o Each member should create the pages that include their
             information.
         o Help out group members with any of your own PowerPoint
             knowledge to enhance the final product.

     Final Presentation
         o Present your final project to the class using the Smartboard.

*** CREATIVITY is the Key! How you sell this region to the students from
Hong Kong is the most important aspect. You can present the information
to the viewers however you would like to.
