The APPG on Sex Equality series on Women’s Access to Power
The second in this series of meetings will consider the implications of the 2012 budget
for women’s access to financial power.
Wednesday 18 April, 5-6pm
Committee Room 7, House of Commons
Speakers include:
Chloe Smith MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury– tbc
Prof Susan Himmelweit, the Women’s Budget Group
Ceri Goddard, Chief Executive, the Fawcett Society
The All Party Parliamentary Group for Sex Equality recently launched an investigation into
women’s access to power. This aims to bring together expertise from a range of sectors and
groups in society to analyse the position of women in areas such as political power, social
mobility and financial power.
The second in this series of meetings will be a forum for parliamentarians, women’s political
networks and the voluntary sector to consider the implications of the measures outlined in
the 2012 budget for women’s access to financial power.
