Indian Armed Force id one of the most reputed and well paid sectors in the country and
getting an opportunity to serve the country while being in the campus just adds to the joy
of having a job in the force. However, one will be required to clear the various stages of
Services Selection Board (SSB) exams in order to be a part of this reputed panel. Unless
one is applying for a position in the medical department, each and every candidate will be
required to go through the 5 day procedure of the SSB selection.
The 5 steps include reporting in the campus followed by a screening test in which the
intelligence and character evaluating capacity of a candidate is judged. Then there is a
psychological test and group discussion task which helps to analyze the state of mind as
well as social characteristics of the person. In the last stage, there is a conference held by

Be particular about your self being
As you will be appearing to apply to serve the country, what you are in real would matter
the most in the campus. What things and activities you are interested in, you routine, your

considered as the priority observations by the selection board. So, start preparing yourself

Keep a check on your body language and speech
While appearing for the group discussion sessions or the conference, be sure that your
body language does not depict your nervousness or your over-confidence at all as both
the conditions will put a negative impression on the judging panel. Do not argue even if
you disagree with anyone’s point of view and always give proper chance to others also to
keep their point of view. Have the patience while talking to others and give your
