Fundraising Overview:
Donations are the lifeblood of many non-profit organizations. These funds can come from donations made by an individual or a supporter can raise funds from their network in support of the organization. When a supporter takes on the roll of a fundraiser for an organization they can have a significant positive impact of the amount of funds raised by the organization. This document is based upon information and feedback from thousands of people who have raised funds for charity. It has been produced to help fundraisers and provides tips and hints for making your efforts effective, simple and even fun.
Fundraising Basics.
The key to achieving (and exceeding) your fundraising objectives is to map out a plan. First, determine how many people you will need to “ask” based upon how much you are trying to raise. The next step is to identify who these people are. Finally, identify how best to reach them.
Mapping Out Your Plan
This key step tells you how many asks you need to make based upon your fundraising goal.

How to reach them
There are a variety of ways to reach each of these groups. For some of these groups an online “ask” and donation capability makes accessing them easier and more comfortable for both you and them.
