Eleven.
 Can you imagine the silence
they must have experienced?
It must have been beyond
       comparison.
The One they followed…
The One they loved…
The One they heard…
Was now silent…
Completely silent…
And so were they.
Imagine for a moment….
…they sat in the 11 chairs in
  the center of our circle.
What did they want to hear?
“It’s going to be okay.”
“I really am okay.”
         “Remember,
I told you I am coming back.”
“This story is not over.”
But instead…they were sitting
         in silence…
For three days…
Three LONG days.
But then everything
    changed…
Forever.
The silence ended…He
        spoke.
Now, listen to the silence…
Do you hear Him?
Silence can be terrifying.
Often it seems better to be
 surrounded by noise…
    than the silence of
      our own reality.
Silence.
Do you hear anything?
Do you hear anything?

   God loves our silence.
He is not interested in talking
          over us…
So He waits…
He waits for our silence.
..in silence He can be heard…
…He can be known.
Be still and KNOW that
     I AM GOD…
Be still and KNOW that
     I AM GOD…

     Psalm 46:10
Be still and KNOW that
     I AM GOD…
Be Still.
Listen.
Can you hear Him?
No?
Still using your ears?
I Kings 3:9
“Here’s what I want: Give me
  a God-listening heart…”
          I Kings 3:9
Try again.
Listen with your heart.
Do you hear it beat?
He speaks with every beat.
In the rhythm of your heart…
Listen to Him speak.
Be still and know that
    HE IS GOD.
The Eleven did…
      Now….
     ask God
        for a
God-listening heart.
…and just be still.
