Jennifer Greenberg Drives to 6th Place Finish in
High Desert Challenge #2 at Hollywood Hills
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Hollywood Hills Speedway presented the “High Desert Challenge #2” last
weekend. The two-day event featured a tough 25-car field of USAC Midgets from Arizona,
Colorado, California, Texas and Oklahoma. Albuquerque’s Jennifer Greenberg experienced
mechanical issues in Saturday night’s action, but made up for it with a great 6 th place finish in the
Sunday night finale. She started the feature event from 14th position out of the 20 that qualified
for the feature race. She was able to avoid two accidents that unfolded directly in front of her
and passed several other cars. Her race-long duel with Rocky Mountain Midget Racing
Association (“RMMRA”) points leader Chris Schiel had the fans attention. Greenberg crossed the
finish line 6th, while Schiel settled for 8th. The 18 year old was the only female competing and
was the highest finishing rookie in the race.

“I was really motivated to do well Sunday night,” Greenberg said. “My crew worked really hard to
put a good car under me. I was also the beneficiary of some great advice from sprint car racer
Jason Tanner. He gave me some tips that really helped me improve my driving.”
The results from this race vaulted Greenberg into 4th place in the RMMRA season points
standings. She will race at Denver’s Colorado National Speedway on September 15 th for the final
race of RMMRA’s season. Greenberg is the top rookie in the points standings and is in contention
for the Rookie of the Year title.
