This session will provide ways to incorporate Wordle, a “free” word art tool that crunches any
chunk of text into a visual representation of the content, into Marzano’s Nine Instructional
Strategies.

Session 2: Motivating Screenagers
During this hands-on session, participants will experience how teachers are engaging students
using the Flip video Cameras. Strategies include one-take videos that both the teacher and
student can create. Learn how student-generated digital video promotes creativity and complex
thinking while teaching crucial 21st century skills. Participants will leave the session with ideas
and resources to take back and use in their classrooms. On top of all that, it’s fun for students
and teachers!

Session 8: Senteos and the 21st Century Classroom
Our workshop will focus on integrating Senteos into the 21st century classroom. Teachers will
learn how to develop quality assessments using Marzano’s Questioning stems and Senteos.
Teachers will also learn how to integrate Senteos with ClassScape to more quickly assess skill
mastery.

Session 10: Using SMART in High School Science
In this session, teachers will learn a variety of ways to use SMART Notebook 10 to enhance
learning and increase student engagement in biology, physical science, and chemistry. We will

assessment, as well as student created content that demonstrates comprehension and mastery of
SCOS goals and objectives.

Session 11: Using Moodle for Course Delivery
Moodle is a classroom management system that can be used to deliver online course content and
assessments, a digital drop box for students, and a tool for online collaboration. Come to this
session to learn more about this software program and how you might use it in your classrooms.

Session 12: Ditch the Lecture, Join the Engagement (Mixing Cooperative Learning with
Technology)
Ever wondered how to incorporate different technologies with new Cooperative Learning
Strategies? This session will mix structures such as Quiz-Quiz-Trade, Mix-Pair-Share, and
Round Robins with SMART Technologies to make the integration as seamless as possible.
Teachers will learn how to keep students engaged and involved in several 21st Century practices.

Session 14: Integrating United Streaming into Instruction
United Streaming is a great classroom resource. Come and learn how to search for videos and
images, how to download and save videos for later use, and how to effectively incorporate these
short tips into your classroom instruction. Participants should have a United Streaming account

on obtaining a United Streaming Account. Bring a flashdrive!

Session 15: SMART Recorder for Remediation/Tutoring
This session will guide you in how to utilize the SMART recorder for student remediation and as
a tutoring tool. Learn how students can create their own SMART recordings to help them master
difficult concepts in any curriculum area. Also, learn how to create your own SMART
recordings that can be used in tutoring/remediation sessions.

Session 16: Cooperative Learning With Notebook 10 ~ How Does It Go Together?
Are you looking for ways to use the Kagan Cooperative Learning structures with your
SMARTboard? Then this is the session for you! Examples will be provided about how to
incorporate many of the tools and gallery items from Notebook 10 to assist and support the
cooperative learning structures and classroom management tips for grades K-8. This session is
appropriate for Stages 2 and 3. Please bring a flash drive for you to save the file that you will
create in this session.

Session 24: 2.0 Tools for Text
Are your students tired of reading passages from the textbook? Want to help your students

we delve into Reading 2.0.

Session 25: Effectively Using Active Directory

Session 27: You can do that with Google?
Use Google Tools to Enhance the Classroom. Google is more than a user-friendly search
engine. In this session you will hear about some of Google’s lesser-known applications such as
Form Creator, Webpage creator, Language Tools, Google Books, Google Scholar, Custom
Search, and Google Maps. You will receive numerous tips for personal, classroom, and school-
wide use!

Session 34: Using e-Mail and Blogging to Extend Content Based Discussions
This session will share ideas about how to use Gaggle email accounts and blogging to encourage
active discussions between students in all content areas. Formal and informal assessment uses
will also be shared.

Session 35: Using MovieMaker in the Science Classroom for Student Projects
Genetics is a difficult topic for most students to comprehend. Come learn how our seventh
graders had a lot of fun using movie maker to demonstrate that they understood the underlying
concepts. The session will focus on how to quickly teach the basics of MovieMaker to students,
the requirements and rubric used for the project, and student examples.

Session 36: United Streaming –Advanced

Session 37: WordPress 101
Do you want a stronger connection to your students and parents outside of the classroom? Using
WordPress blogging software allows the teacher/ administrator to maintain an avenue of
communication through establishing a website that is easy to build and maintain. This class will

Notebook tools.

Session 42: iLove High School English
The first hour will be a demonstration of the ways that a variety of technological resources can
be used on a day-to-day basis in high school English classrooms to enrich instruction and

Wordpress, Photo Story, and MovieMaker.

Session 44: Digital Storytelling
“Learning through the Funnies and Utilizing Comics in the Classroom” can be used in most any

writing tools and much, much more.

Session 45: CPS with ClassScape (Participants school must have CPS already)
Learn how to quickly assess your students using Classroom Performance System response
system and ClassScape. You will come away from this session with the knowledge of how to
