WORK EXPERIENCE

Stifford Community Centre | Admin Assistant/Receptionist | (January 2012 – Present)

Duties include:
 Receive/make phone calls and record messages to pass on to the relevant person
 Data entry and analysis using MS Office
 Greet visitors and assist with enquiries
 Use staff database to monitor punctuality, attendance and holiday entitlement
 Photocopy, print and laminate documents where necessary
 Help create leaflets and signposts for the centre
 Update several databases and make amendments to important documents
 Liaise with management of all levels
 I was primarily involved with the project management of the Stepney Green Fair 2012
   organised by Stifford; this required me to call a list of vendors and encourage them to hire
   a stall. I also called many Fair Rides’ providers to enquire about, and negotiate on prices.
   I have based my Master’s dissertation on the Stepney Fair evaluating the advertisement.

Primark (Oxford Street) | Sales Assistant | (June 2007 – Present)

Duties/skills include:
 Till trained, and also assist customers who call the store to enquire about men’s suits
 Replenish the stock throughout the day; especially prior to busy hours
 Rotate goods as and when necessary
 Stockroom duties i.e. stock count, re-shelving.
 Deal with customer queries and provide assistance to several customers simultaneously

University of Westminster | (October 2009 – July 2011)
Role: Student Ambassador at University Open Days and Admin Assistant

Duties included:
 Assisting visitors (prospective students and their parents) from the main entrance to the
   lecture theatres/advice sessions
 Doing group activities with the visitors in seminar classrooms
 Taking the visitors on a tour of the university
 Advising the visitors about the university on a one-to-one basis
 Given sole responsibility to look after and hand out approximately 400 money-off
   vouchers worth £1.35 each to the visitors which were redeemable at the university cafe
 Answering/assisting the visitors with general enquiries
 Helping out with admin duties in the University Head Office

Superdrug (Swiss Cottage) | Sales Assistant | (July 2005)

Duties included: Dealing with customer queries, replenishing the stock, rotating goods and
dealing with waste management.

INTERESTS

I like to socialise with friends and meet new people in my local community by attending
Redcoat Community Centre. My hobby is providing a voluntary matrimonial service for
people who are looking to get married; I do this by networking with two other people who
help find potentials’ and I actively introduce prospective spouses.
