General annual meeting of Governing Council of Radiant Institute of Engineering and Technology, Abohar is scheduled
on 14/02/2011, in board meeting room of the institute, where in, following agenda items are placed below, for remarks
and/ or approval :-

   1. That, Governing council is highly thankful, obliged and satisfied on establishment and growth of Radiant Institute
      of Engineering and Technology, Abohar, for which, Chief Patron of BHAI KANHAIYA SEWA SOCIETY Mahant
      Kahan Singh Ji and all the representatives of BHAI KANHAIYA SEWA SOCIETY Regd. Goniana, Chairman of BHAI
      KANHAIYA SEWA SOCIETY Unit Abohar S. Tara Singh Ji, Er. S.S. Sidhu Secretary BHAI KANHAIYA SEWA SOCIETY
      Unit Abohar, members of BHAI KANHAIYA SEWA SOCIETY Unit Abohar, donor family of Late Ch. Amichand Ji
      Azimgarh, Prof. Dr. T.S. KamalDirector-Principal RIET, Dr. Ravinder Gupta Director RIET, Mr. Sanjeev Bajaj
      Registrar RIET, Dr.Rajinder Girdhar Principal HMC and all the staff members of RIET and HMC and all other
      stakeholders/well-wisher’s, deserves special appreciation and regards. We are sure for the times to come RIET,
      will definately prove as a force to reckon with.
   2. That, all the expenses incurred approximately to the tune of Rs 08.10 Crors, by managing committee and/ or
      administration of RIET, on establishment, growth and development of RIET from start till date, needs to be
      approved and the detail of which be sent to all the office bearers/ members of Governing Council.
   3. That, we at RIET, stand committed towards “Social Transformation through the tools and technologies of
      Engineering & for which, following needs to be done:-
      a. Teaching need to be interactive, inclusive, research oriented, and focused towards problem solving.
      b. Thrust on Practical orientation, institute- industry tie-ups.
      c. Taking up grassroot problems and offering engineering solutions with emphasis on rural area.
      d. Emphasis on Personality development, value based and eco friendly environment, for staff and students.
      e. Collaboration with industries and research institutes of repute, so as, to explore their talents and to update
         the skills of staff and student’s and that too, and as per latest requirements/ demands
      f. To go for MOU with foreign universities and other related bodies of repute.
      g. Creating an environment, which has zero tolerance for menace such as ragging, undue aggressions,
         communalism, casteism, discriminations, corruption, drugs, female foeticide, unhealthy competition etc.




       h. Shaping and sharpening the skills of students related to sports, extra co-curricular activities, and social issues.
          The students need to be inculcated such values, which makes them down to earth and intacted to their
          roots, Whatever may be their state of success/ achievements
       i. Producing best human beings and practical engineers, be the goal at large.
      j. Best minds and hearts be recruited and retained as staff, so that the above policies / Philosophy be followed
         and set goals be achieved accordingly.
   4. For the above and to meet the standards set forth by the apex bodies such AICTE , PTU, Punjab Government,
      there, stands a requirement of enhancing the overall infrastructure , equipment, quality pool of human
      resources and other related inputs ( as elaborated in our project report ), for which the requisite funds be
      generated and used by managing committee and/or administration of Radiant Institute of Engineering &
      Technology for which, necessary approval needs to be granted.

             We the following under the benign patronage of Mahant Kahan Singh Ji, “Sewa Panthi” unanimously resolve
             to approve the above in toto and stands committed to extend support to managing committee and
             administration of Radiant Institute of Engineering & Technology for achieving the goals of BHAI KANHAIYA
             SEWA SOCIETY and RIET Abohar, which by and large are focused toward societal transformations. The
             meeting ended with a vote of thanks to chief Patron Mahant Kahan Singh Ji and S. Tara Singh Ji Chairman of
             the Governing Council.

    10. Student feedback mechanism on Institutional Governance:
        / Faculty performance


Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/ improvements: The

institute is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. The curriculum decided by the university is

followed in true spirit. However, the Principal and faculty members being members of academic council and

various other committees put forward their views to maintain the academic standards.

Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance: Occasionally meetings are held at

various levels for effective democratic governance.

Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance: Students’ feedback Performa is got filled

during each semester. In this Performa students give detailed information regarding the academic performance

of the faculty, which is studied in detail by the respective head of departments. Teachers are issued

instructions accordingly. Students’ approach the HODs’ or Principal for the redressal of their day-to-day

problems and action plan is decided depending upon the gravity of the problems to rectify them.


    11. Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff & students        :


For students: Advisors are appointed for a group of 15-20 students. One period per week is engaged by the

advisor, which is allotted in the regular timetable. Students having any grievances discuss with their respective

advisor. The advisor in turn discusses the problems with the respective HOD. In case of any complex problem,

Principal may be involved for the redressal.



For Staff: Regular meetings are held by the Principal with the faculty and staff from time to time to discuss

any problem or grievance. The meetings are also held with the Chairman of the Institute’s governing body to

share their views.
