Posted on: March 5, 2012 Application Due: April 7, 2012 Department of Biological Sciences University of Toronto Scarborough 2012 Summer Session Sessional Lecturer BIOB34H3Y Animal Physiology The Department of Biological Sciences, University of Toronto Scarborough is recruiting a Sessional Lecturer to teach BIOB34H3Y (Animal Physiology) during the 2012 Summer Session. Classes are tentatively scheduled to begin May 7th and continue through until August 7th with a final exam period tentatively scheduled from August 13th - August 28th. The course has an estimated enrolment of 200. Lectures for BIOB34H3Y are scheduled on Mondays from 7:00pm -9:00pm with a tutorial every third week on Mondays from 9:00pm - 10:00pm. In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, the Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $7, 100 for a half course, inclusive of vacation pay. The Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $7,550 for a half course, inclusive of vacation pay. Duties involve conducting lectures, preparation of mid-term and final exam, marking/grading, ensure smooth running of the laboratory of this course, conducting office hours, and performing miscellaneous clerical tasks. Successful candidates should have or be near completion of their Ph.D. Candidates should have a strong background in comparative animal physiology (teaching experience preferred).
