SALARY: Scale 1 fixed point 4 paid over 12 calendar months. Salary is in
accordance with National Joint Council for Local Government Service Pay
and Conditions. The pay formula allows for three cleaning days in the
year (worked during school holidays), five Inset Days, holiday and bank
holiday pay and one additional week which will be worked as part of the
Saturday morning rota within the School Tuck Shop.
HOURS: 07.45am – 15.00pm Monday to Friday x 39 weeks pa
plus cleaning days, plus occasional evenings

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide meals to staff and students.
To provide catering facilities for visitors to the school during school day

The main duties and responsibilities within the kitchen are:
Prepare and cook hot meals, sandwiches, salads etc.
Serving of above meals, ensuring correct portion control.
To clean kitchen, kitchen equipment and associated areas.
General kitchen duties.
Preparation of dining area, including the erection and dismantling of dining furniture.
Cleaning of dining furniture.
Operating both cash and cashless system
Putting away stock deliveries.
Follow health and safety and food hygiene procedures
Fill vending machines on school premises and emptying cash.
Any other duties as required by the Head Teacher or the General Catering Manager.
