									User Manual

In order for the client to know how to use the website I am providing a user manual in the
case that she gets confused when using the website therefore this user manual being an
important factor into the process.

When the link is entered for the website which is www.granniesatticstafford.co.uk you’ll be
presented with the home screen which will look like the picture below.

If you look at the top you have the Logo of the website and then below to the right you have
the navigation area these 2 areas of the website will stay on the page no matter what, then
to the left you have the body which is where all the information will be presented.

If you were to click any of the different areas within the navigation box you’ll be taken to
that specific area of the website for example if you were to click the Antiques page you’ll be
sent straight there. See picture below.
As you can see the antiques button has been clicked and the antiques page has loaded and
now in the body of the website a new page has loaded. Within this page you have different
areas of the antiques page and each page holds certain items within that area. So if I were
to click Reproduction Range you’ll be presented with a new page and pictures of some of
the items. See picture below.

As you can see the Reproduction Range page has loaded and now presents the page with
pictures of the items from that area, the pictures are only thumbnails, which means they are
clickable to you can enlarge them to have a better look at them. So if you were to click one
of the images from the page it will enlarge the picture. See picture below.

As you can see the image has been clicked and the page has reloaded with the picture in a
bigger view, once you have finished viewing this page you can easily get back to where you
were by using the ‘back’ button which is provided in all web browsers and it will take you
back. Another method is using the links in the navigation menu, for example if you want to
move onto a different area you don’t have to go all the way back using the back button, you
can just click the different area on the website, for example if you want to go to the contact
page, all you have to do is click the ‘Contact’ button from the navigation menu. See picture
below.

The above method works for the Jewellery page as well this is just a demonstration on the
certain types of events that you’ll come across when using this website.
As you can see the Contact Page is now displayed where the image was. This page provides
details on the stores opening hours, contact details and the owners email if you need to
contact the store for any reason.

If you want to go and purchase an item from the store all you have to do is click the Items
for Sale button from the navigation menu and you’ll be presented with a few items from the
store that are current for sale on the website.
As you can see the Items for Sale page has loaded and your presented with a list of items
which you can purchase using the secure payment method provided by PayPal. Once you
have found the item your looking to purchase just click the ‘Buy Now’ button and you’ll be
taken to the PayPal website where you can carry out the payment. See picture below.

As you can see by the picture above the PayPal page has loaded for that item and it states
the item number and the price, to carry out this payment you would need to enter your
personal login details

For demonstrational purposes, I cannot complete this payment as I would have to login and
                             continue to purchase the item.

Once you’ve decided to complete the payment you’ll be presented with the following
screen which will state that your payment has been successful and you can return to the
website using the navigation menu to the side still. See picture below.
Because this page is viewed after the payment has been complete I cannot show it with the
menu down the side because it would mean I would have to complete the payment

As you can see the payment has been completed and you’re given an piece of text stating
that payment has been successful and you can either use the button below the text to
return home or using the navigation menu down the side of the website.

If you were to cancel a payment before completing it you’ll be presented with a screen
which looks like the picture stated below.
Because this page is loaded once the payment has been cancelled it can not be shown with
                                   the rest of the website.

Once you have cancelled the payment you’ll be presented with the screen above giving you
a greeting and then you can either click home to return to the website or by using the
navigation menu to the side you can return to the website.
