PLEASE NOTE: KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY WILL NOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS OR SUPPORTING
MATERIALS UNTIL OFFICIAL APPROVAL IS NOTED ON THIS WEBSITE.
The Graduate Programs in Education Office can not officially market, recruit, or start accepting applications through the KSU
Graduate Admissions Office for the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program (with embedded Ed.S. option) until the program has
been officially approved by the Board of Regents (anticipated in April), and subsequently by the Southern Association of
College and Schools (anticipated in June).
Admission to these programs is highly selective.
Interested students may begin to get their application materials in order by taking the following steps:
Make arrangements to provide official transcripts from EACH college previously attended to be sent
to KSU’s Graduate Admissions Office. Official transcripts must be received by KSU in a university-sealed
envelope. Your transcripts should reflect at least a Master’s degree.
Make arrangements to provide official GRE scores from Educational Testing Services
(www.ets.org)
Make sure your official results are sent to KSU upon completion. Please Note: Educational Testing
Services does not report scores that are over five years old.
Graduate G.P.A. and GRE scores will be utilized with other admission criteria to determine program
eligibility.
Make arrangements to submit a copy of your valid Georgia Teaching Certificate(s) (clear
renewable).
Start preparing a 1-2 page narrative of your prior professional experiences and professional goals as
they relate to the selected program of study.
Start developing a Professional Resume or vita documenting education, teaching experience, and
record of leadership.
International Applicants will need to also fulfill the following: Please link to

additional application requirements at that level of the admissions process.
ALL MATERIALS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ON-LINE APPLICATION, MUST BE SUMBITTED IN ONE
PACKAGE ONCE THE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN APPROVED.
INCOMPLETE PACKAGES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.
