Thank you for placing an order with Mascots of Maylandsea. Please ensure all the details
above are correct.

The following guidelines are intended to help the mascot operator and the audience have a
fun time. Please ensure the safety of your guests at all times and insure rental instructions are
followed, use your own common sense and have a great time.

Please read our terms and conditions of hire and complete and return prior to the start of your
event.



Self Hire
It is the responsibility of the person hiring the equipment to ensure that all possible steps are
taken to avoid injury to users or damage to the equipment.

Prices for self hire include delivery and collection of costume, collection will be made on the
same day as the event.

Unlike many companies we do not ask for a refundable deposit towards loss or damage of our
products but by entering this contract you will be agreeing to return the goods in the
condition that they were hired to you in, in the time agreed. If a problem occurs please notify
us immediately and you may be required to pay up to £150 maximum towards a new
costume.



Manned Mascots

On the day of hire we will need a safe and private place to get into costume.

For large events please ensure there is somewhere nearby to park as the mascots are big and
bulky.



Cancellation policy

If a cancellation is made 14 days prior to the event a full refund will be given however
cancellation after this may be charged at 50% cancellation fee.



Booking Policy

The balance of the booking will need to be paid in cash and in full prior to the start of the
appearance. Please place it in an envelope with the signed contract please.

Paypal is an alternative payment method please email for a paypal invoice to be sent.

Orders taken are subject to availability and in the unlikely event we do not supply the product
we will offer a substitute or a full refund already paid for these products. However we will
not be liable for any losses you incur if we cannot supply them.



Advertising event

When holding an event, you may only state on invitations/flyers as 'Lookalike' mascots.
Guidelines to be followed

The mascot operating equipment has a minimum operating age of 18 years old.

A responsible adult must chaperone the mascot at ALL times.

Please avoid face painting prior to the mascot`s appearance.

Please avoid food or drink sticky sweets and ice cream near the mascots.

No smoking near or in the same room as the mascots, this is important also when storing
them as well.

It is not recommended for anyone to man the mascots if they suffer from back or neck
problems, respiratory disorders or sensitive skin or if they suffer from claustrophobia.

It is not permitted to use the mascots in rain, drizzle, snow or in mud.

Please note these are costumes not garments and should be worn for an absolute maximum of
30 minutes at any one time to avoid overheating.

Our manned mascots are CRB checked and we hold public liability insurance.

that entertain for fun at all events. We do not claim to be any original TV or film character
only lookalikes. We do not sell to third parties or provide any official merchandise or
costumes. It is not our intention to violate any copyright laws.
