Write a letter to a local newspaper making recommendations which might help
to solve the following problems:
A: There are very few public places in your town where people can go to keep fit.

     Dear Sir,

Many people like to keep fit and want to find ways to burn off the extra fat, in
order to keep active and maintain a healthy way of living. But there aren’t
enough public places in my town where people can go to keep fit.

I feel it is the responsibility of the local community to make places like these
available for anyone who would like to cut down some calories without having
to pay a lot of money while doing so.
One way would be to make public parks with jogging tracks, where people
can exercise outdoor with their families and friends .
Keeping fit need not cost much ,there are lots of ways to improve your fitness
without having to join a gym. Joining a local sports team is a great way to spend
your spare time and keep fit. You also get to meet lots of new people.

By keeping physically active, you're making sure that your joints and body
organs are kept in good working order. Exercise can also help maintain your
weight at a healthy level and can protect you against catching coughs and colds
on a regular basis.
Getting fit isn't just something you have to do by yourself. Playing team sports
like football, basketball or netball is great exercise, but is often more enjoyable
because you're with a group of friends.
Your school, college or university may run sessions in the evening, or you
might want to get involved with a local team.

I hope that the local authority can also give us information of sporting activities
in our area , and also provide us with leisure facilities such as ; basketball
hoops, tennis courts and football pitches that we can use free of charge.

                                                       Yours sincerely,
                                                        Nihad

B: Very few tourists come to your town because they know nothing about it.

Dear Sir,
I am writing with regard to the issue your newspaper had written about, that
very few tourists come to our town because they know nothing about it.
I feel it is my responsibility to let tourists know about the town I am living in .

Amman is built on seven hills, each of which defines a neighborhood.
Amman has served as the modern and ancient capital of Jordan. It is one of the
oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with excavations uncovering
homes and towers believed to have been built during the Stone Age.
The seven hills of Amman are an enchanting mixture of ancient and modern.
Gleaming white houses, embassies, schools ,cafés are interacting with bustling
markets—known in Arabic as souqs—and the remains of civilizations and ages
long past. Most of Amman’s historical sites are found in the downtown area, the
ancient citadel , is a good place to begin a tour of the city. Downhill from the
Citadel and a five –minute walk east from downtown, the Roman Theater is the
most obvious and the most impressive of the ancient city of Amman.
Two small museums are built into the foundations of the Roman theater. The
Jordan Folklore Museum is in the right wing of the theater and displays a
collection of items showing the traditional life of local people.

Sunset is perhaps the best time to enjoy Amman, as the white buildings of
the city seem to glow in the fading warmth of the day. The greatest charm of
Amman, however, is found in the hospitality of its residents. Visitors to Amman
are continually surprised by the genuine warmth with which they are greeted.
"Welcome in Jordan" is a phrase visitors will not soon forget.
                                                   Yours sincerely,
                                                   Nihad

                 THE END

               ( MAISOON ABDO )
