Lauren Conrad Collection Now At Kohl’s
As a teenager growing up in Laguna Beach, Lauren Conrad experienced the inevitable dramas of senior year on national television. As she matured into adulthood, we watched as she took on Hollywood, developing friendships, love affairs and a career. Through the smiles and tears, hugs and fights, there's one thing that her millions of weekly viewers could never deny - Lauren Conrad always had impeccable style. Now, she is bringing that style to the masses and this time it costs less! "I think it is important that my fashion is able to reach my entire fan base," said Conrad of her new LC Lauren Conrad collection, which is now being sold exclusively at Kohl's. Her debut clothing line, the Lauren Conrad Collection, which she launched in September 2007, features higher-priced pieces that cater more to special occasions. LC Lauren Conrad, consists of jeans, knit tops, woven blouses, dresses, sweaters, blazers and signature prints, ranging in price from $20 to $60. "[The collection] emulates the simple, fresh and sophisticated style seen in Los Angeles," said Conrad. One of the perks of designing her own line is getting to wear all of the clothes. "...my absolute musthaves from the collection are the boyfriend blazer, skinny jeans and ballet top," said Conrad. "The blazer is great because it can be worn dressed down with skinny’s and flats or over a fun dress with heels for a night out. The ballet top is comfortable and chic, and is a great lightweight sweater for fall nights in California." So what advice does a fashionista like Lauren Conrad have for girls who aim to look great on a budget? "Invest in a few key pieces that will take you from season to season. Make sure these pieces fit well and flatter your body type," said Conrad. "Accessories are another great way to keep wardrobe staples looking current without spending a lot." Currently, the collection consists only of apparel. However, in the future, Kohl's and Conrad fans may be able to satisfy their fashion cravings with LC Lauren Conrad shoes, jewelry, handbags, intimates and even pajamas.
