BOGUS BASIN SKI RACING ALLIANCE
Release of Liability Form
I, the undersigned, know that ski racing is an action sport carrying significant risk of personal
injury. Racing training and competition are even more dangerous. I know that there are natural
and man-made obstacles or hazards, surface and environmental conditions and risks that, in
combination with my actions, can cause me very severe or occasionally fatal injury. I agree that I,
as a participant, must take an active role in understanding and accepting these risks, conditions,
and hazards. I also agree that I, and not the Bogus Basin Ski Racing Alliance, the Bogus Basin
Masters’ Race Team, the ski area, or their officials, staff and volunteers, am responsible for my
safety while I participate in or train for Alpine and Nordic competition. Furthermore, I
understand that helmets are recommended for skiing and that by signing this release I am
accepting the responsibility for skiing without a helmet.
BOGUS BASIN MASTERS’ RACE TEAM
Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk and Release
I, the undersigned, know that alpine, Nordic, and freestyle skiing are action sports carrying
significant risk of serious personal injury, death or property damage. I also know that there are
natural, mechanical, and environmental conditions and risks that independently or in
combination with my activities may cause property damage, or severe or even fatal injuries to
others or me.
I agree that I am alone responsible for: (a) my safety while participating in competitive events
and/or training for competitive events and (b) providing, utilizing and maintaining that
equipment necessary for the safe enjoyment of my participation in such events and specifically
acknowledge that the following persons or entities including the Bogus Basin Ski Racing Alliance,
the Bogus Basin Masters’ Race Team, Bogus Basin, the promoters, the sponsors, the organizers,
the members, or affiliates of any person or entity named above are not responsible for my safety.
I specifically RELEASE and DISCHARGE in advance, those parties from any liability whether
known or unknown, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the
part of persons or entities mentioned above. I agree to accept all responsibility for the risks,
conditions and hazards that may occur whether they now are known or unknown.
Being fully aware of the risks, conditions and hazards of the proposed activity as a competitor or
trainer, coach or official, I HEREBY AGREE TO WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE any and all
claims for damages for death, personal injury or property damage which I may have or which may
hereafter accrue to me as a result of any participation in competitive events or training for
competitive events, against any person or entity identified above whether such injury or damage
was foreseeable or not, including any such claims regarding the design or condition of any
equipment utilized by me in such competitive events or training without regard to whether such
equipment is specified or recommended by such persons or entities identified above.
I further agree to forever HOLD HARMLESS and INDEMNIFY all persons and entities identified
above, generally and specifically, from any and all liability for death, personal injury or property
damage resulting in any way from my participating in competitive events or training for
I currently have, and I agree to maintain throughout the time that I train and compete, valid and
sufficient medical and accident insurance. I understand that this is my sole responsibility and
release all persons and entities identified above from providing this coverage for me.
I agree that I will accept and abide by the rules and regulations of the USSA and any other rules
or regulations imposed by the organizers of any particular competition or training. This
Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk and Release shall be binding upon my heirs and

CODE OF ETHICS
If you plan to run gates, you are required to show up at the pole bin at the designated
time, help haul all the equipment to the training hill, help set gates, and help slip the courses
prior to any running of gates. At the end of the training day, you are required to help pull the
poles, slip the course, and haul everything back to the storage shed and put it all away. Please
remember that the reason we’re able to keep the cost low is because we do all the work; as a
courtesy to your fellow members, pitch in and adhere to the schedule.
