COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION TO THE PARTNERSHIP
It is essential that all applicants read these notes fully before submitting an
application to the Partnership for a GTP training position starting in September 2011.
This information applies to both primary and secondary phases.
Applications will be accepted on the understanding that Hull Citywide GTP Partnership, in keeping with all
providers of initial teacher training, is waiting confirmation of place allocations for September 2011. All
applications are therefore provisional and subject to this confirmation.
How should I proceed with my application?
Applicants should read the documents provided on the home page of our website before completing an
application. Applicants must be clear about:
The key dates in the process: deadlines for submission, panel and school interviews.
The person specification (primary and secondary): particularly the qualifications requirement and
How can I apply?
Applications can be submitted from the 1 November 2010. Applications can be submitted through two
routes and applicants will need to be clear about these:
Route One: Using the Partnership Form
Applicants can complete Hull Citywide’s own application form (on the home page and sent with
application packs) and return it to the Partnership, as a hard copy, no later than 4.00pm, Friday 28
January 2011. The Partnership will require essential documentation to be provided with the completed
form and failure to supply this information will disqualify the application. Details can be found on the
form itself. The Partnership will not accept applications which arrive after this date and will not collect
undelivered mail. The partnership cannot accept electronic copies of this form.
Route Two: Initial Application via the TDA Portal
Applicants may choose to send, electronically, an initial application to the Partnership via the TDA portal.
Once this initial application is received, applicants will receive further details as to how to proceed with
providing additional information and documentation required by the Partnership. This will require
sending, as a hard copy, copies of all qualifications claimed, testimonials from schools as evidence of
school experience, copies of NARIC equivalence (for qualifications gained overseas), a passport-sized
photograph and two A5 stamped addressed envelopes for Partnership use.
In order to provide sufficient time for applicants using this TDA portal to return this additional
information and documentation by the deadline (January 28 2011), it is advised that electronic
applications should arrive no later than Wednesday, 5 January 2011. Whilst the Partnership will
acknowledge applications received after this date, it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that
this additional information and documentation arrives by the deadline of Friday, January 28 .
