Design, Development, Evaluation and Analysis of Blended eLearning
Module and Reusable Electronic Resources in History of Art
Dominic Paterson, Department of History of Art
This presentation will address the issues of assessment design, learner
autonomy and tutor 'control' which were investigated in the research project.
The conclusions reached are based not only on the course designed and
studied during the project, but also on 7 years of experience using e-learning
technology in the context of History of Art. The approach taken is qualitative
and attempts to evaluate my own perceptions of the teaching/learning
dynamic as well as those of the student participants interviewed during the
research. I will ask key questions about the future use of e-learning
technologies in my own teaching practice, and in the discipline of art history.
