1.0 OWL EVENING – Thursday 11th February
We had a very disappointing number of slips being sent back to school for pre-ordering food.
If we need slips to be returned for future events, we need to make sure they go out hardcopy for people’s
Orders received so far: 30 sausages and 16 burgers
We counted up the sausages and burgers in the freezer and have approx 150 sausages and 180 burgers. It was
decided that this would be plenty.
Brenda to order rolls, cheese slices and red sauce.
It was decided to cook the food in the kitchens as this would be easier to keep the food warm and serve people in a
half hour time slot.
Charlotte to see if the bedtime story could be done in the main hall all together. This would make it easier for
parents who have children in different classes.
Hot drinks will be available to buy on the evening for 50p – Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate. Squash will be free.
Charlotte confirmed we have enough cups for this event, no need to buy any.
Tadley Wind Band is available to come along and possibly a Jazz Band can also attend.
2.0 DISCO – Friday 26th March
Tracie & Brenda to get some quotes from Disco people. (Will need exact times from Mrs Downes for each KS/Years)
ACTION: Tracie & Brenda
3.0 EASTER – Monday 29th March
A suggestion for Easter was an egg hunt. We originally thought about a non-school uniform day in exchange for
bringing an egg to school, or should we go and buy the eggs?
We could do the easter egg hunts in the childrens family groups. The egg hunt will need to be about 2pm in order to
finish at the end of the day.
Tracie to ask Costco if they could donate a really big easter egg for a raffle prize. Children could buy a ticket for 50p
and the winner gets the huge egg!
4.0 SUMMER FAIR – 9th July
We had a quick discussion about the summer fair and trying to organise things sooner rather than later.
Charlotte will see if the beer tent is available and if Rachael Beedham can get a Medieval Reinactment Group to come
along. Train man would be good if available to book.
PTA group can buy some new games/stalls for the fair this year to replace some of the older equipment.
We can do craft stalls again, although we need some sort of booking form and pre-deposit organised.
5.0 PTA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – Friday 5th March
We realised that we need to have an AGM – this should have been done in November but we ran out of time
organising the Christmas Fair. We can have the AGM first at 1.30pm on the 5th March and then a PTA meeting
It was suggested that maybe Mrs Downes needs to inform all the parents of the AGM date?
Charlotte to check this and to see if Mrs Downes is available to attend the PTA meeting.
Brenda to see if she can find the last AGM minutes for our reference.
Date of next Meeting – Friday 5th March, 1.30pm (Nuthatch Room)
:- AGM: 1.30pm
:- PTA Meeting: 2.00pm
