1/30          Project Research Report Due/ Final Draft (100pts.)
1/17         Begin experiments.
3/3          Results of experimentation (20pt)
3/21         Class Science Fair (all projects are due at school by 9:00 AM)
                    (50pts for board display, 150 pts for oral and visual
             presentation)
Color project boards can be ordered for $3.50. Students should turn in their
money to their science teacher by January 16, 2007 with a possible extension
to February 2, 2007. Students may also use cardboard size, 36” x 24”, and
covered in butcher paper or wrapping paper. Students may also purchase
their boards at local craft stores.

STATE STANDARD 7E.
    Students should develop their own questions and perform investigations. Students will:   Communicate the steps
    and results from an investigation in written reports and oral presentations.

Dear Parent:

                  Please return this part only to your child’s science teacher.

              I have read the information and due dates for the Science Fair
Project. I understand the project will be awarded a large number of
points: 320-359 points for a “B” project and 400-360 points for an “A”
project. My child’s grade in science may drop 2 grades without a project. I
also understand that the project will be entered in the Class Science Fair and
possibly the School Science Fair. This project is a requirement for all
students and all assignments must be completed and turned in on the dates
listed. Failure to do so will result in my child’s science grade being
significantly impacted.
