Be a part of the
Lake Norman Elementary Science Fair!!!
Who: All K-5 students are invited to participate in the LNE Science Fair.
What: A Science Fair is an exhibit of projects related to science.
It is a chance for students to complete individual or partner projects to stimulate
interest in science.
Projects will be judged by grade level at the school level and finalists in grades 3-5
will move on to the district level Science Fair.
Where: Lake Norman Elementary
When: December 18, 2012- during the school day
Why: The purpose of the Elementary Science Fair is to offer students the opportunity to
complete a project about science as it applies to everyday life. Students are
encouraged to look within personal interests, contacts and applications to identify
a scientific concept to investigate or a problem to be solved with the support of
science. Completing a Science Fair project gives students the chance to work
beyond the level in the regular classroom and an experience a sense of pride that
comes with creating something original.
How: Students complete a science project accompanied by a researched written report,
oral presentation and a display board to be judged on the day of the Expo.
