							Copywriter
Location: Kent Head Office, 300 Union St. Saint John, NB

SUMMARY:
Kent is looking for a copywriter to write enticing and informative product content for our flyers and
ecommerce website. This is an entry level, 40 hour per week full time position.

Working with other members of the marketing team, you will be responsible for:

       Writing, editing and proofreading enticing and informative product content within
        established timelines.
       Working with other members of the Web team to ensure the product setup workflow is
        continual and deadlines are met.
       Developing standardized writing styles for product descriptions taking into consideration
        the commodity and availability of information.
       Liaising with members of the Marketing and Merchant teams to ensure product
        information is correct.
       Resolving product description issues as required.
       Understanding Social Media platforms and the ability to communicate with customers via
        Facebook and Twitter.
       Online product merchandising.
       Other related duties and special assignments as required.

As the ideal candidate you have:

       Excellent copywriting/editing skills and a passion for retail and consumer goods.
       Knowledge of the Internet, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook.
       Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
       An eye for detail, editorial judgment and grammatical skills.
       Self-motivated with a strong drive to improve efficiencies while working in a process
        driven environment.
       Working knowledge of Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Blogs.
       Educational background in Journalism, marketing, or related field an asset.
       Bilingual (French & English) an asset.
