									Kia ora koutou,

This is a quick reminder about the third Digital Pathways Development internet
webcast starting after school on Thursday this week.

It is viewable on a broadband internet connection, live and on-demand from Team
Solutions, available only for Northland and Auckland schools.
DPD is Professional Learning Development for each learning area to integrate
Career Education across the curriculum, in a short presentation from specialist
secondary curriculum Facilitators (see attached: DPD handout for teachers).

Social Science live on Thursday 30th July at 3.45pm with Shirley Beazley,
Secondary Facilitator Social Sciences (Team Solutions)

More details will be on her catalogue page.
We suggest you may like to print out the linked resources on the presentation
site before viewing (see ‘links’ or the paperclip icon). A selected sample is attached.

If your school hasn’t already registered on the Professional Support Agreement (see PSA
attached) you can still access the presentations with our temporary login:
http://tinyurl.com/digitalpathwaysdevelopment
Username: DPD
Password: exciting
[NB: free registration will give nominated staff their own individual logins and greater
access to the site. Just email the PSA.doc to us – you keep the signed version.]

We strongly advise you to check your internet capacity before the live presentations, in
case you need your IT technician to allow streaming.
If for some reason you can’t access a fast enough broadband connection, we can make a
free Publish-to-go version on CDRom and snail mail it to you. Just email us with the
address.

Further information:

 Each learning area will be supported with downloadable resources, to help with
the integration of career education into each learning area of the New Zealand
       Curriculum.
 The presentations are only 15 - 20 minutes of a curriculum teacher’s time, but
they are full of great ideas and links for teaching and learning underpinned by the
       NZC.
 We really hope a specialist curriculum staff representative from your school will
take advantage of viewing live, giving them the ability to ask questions and
receive immediate responses from the presenters.
 Northland and Auckland will be able to access the presentations anytime after that,
viewing on-demand. Questions asked on-demand, will be answered by email.
 Check the introductory presentations on the home page for more information,
and for setting up before a live presentation.
 Mac users (and a few ‘special’ PC users) may be prompted to download the latest
free Microsoft Silverlight viewer. You might want to do this sometime before the
       presentation to avoid delays.

We look forward to seeing your school online.

Me te mihi nui,
Mark
