If you are absent you must check the assignment sheet at the front of the class for the
assignments for the previous day. You will be allowed one day to make-up assignments that
were missed. You may turn in late work, which will be worth 50% of the points possible. You
may turn late work in until the end of that unit, after that it is not accepted. Quizzes and Tests
must be made up as soon as possible(within one week of the absence). Test must be made up
before school, or during tutorial, not during class time.
Entering the Classroom
When you enter the classroom look at the agenda written on the board. If we have a focus lesson
first, get out a piece of paper for this. If we have a quiz first, make sure you have a pen or pencil
ready. Rules begin when you enter the room, not when the bell rings. You should also be on
your way to your seat when the bell rings, otherwise you will be marked tardy.
Students will be allowed six (6) restroom passes per semester. Further need will result in a
parent conference addressing the situation. Restroom passes may NOT be used the first 15 or
the last 15 minutes of class, as well as during a lecture.
Policy Against Hateful Actions
All students will respect the differences we all have. No negative comments will be directed
towards others (this includes all people, not just those in this class) because of their race,
ethnicity, cultural background, native language, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities they may
have, personal feelings, or any thing else that may be taken as a put down. Hateful remarks,
whether you are joking or not, will not be tolerated.
Grading Scale- 100%-90% A
