Please find attached a questionnaire relating to the “Making Questionnaire
the Connections” conference report to the Welsh Assembly
Building upon the conference of 15th July it is the intention,
as you know; to send a report to the Welsh Assembly
Government on how we feel that their ‘Taking everyone
into account’ strategy document is actually
succeeding/failing in its proposed aims.
The report needs to be as comprehensive as possible and
will an opportunity to influence the development of the
Financial Inclusion strategy in Wales for many years to
A number of questions are asked - which we would ask you
to respond to at the earliest opportunity. Each is constructed
around a specific theme of the strategy. You do not need to
answer all the questions, but please answer as many as you
feel you can.

Housing Benefit Reforms - a storm brewing? Will be taking Website
place on Wednesday 20th October 2010 at the Hilton Hotel,
This one day event will review the Housing Benefit reforms
and give delegates the opportunity to hear from expert
practitioners on the potential implications for individuals and
organisations. It will also outline what social landlords can do
to help prepare for the "storm" that is brewing.
The event is aimed at senior managers and policy makers and
also practitioners who provide benefits advice to customers. It
will also be valuable to senior benefits officers, housing
managers and tenancy support officers, as well as front line
staff and those in a housing advice role.

you to attend 'Working in Partnership to Tackle Financial
Exclusion and Improve Financial Capability,' taking place on
Thursday 2nd December 2010 in central London.
With the Financial Inclusion Task Force's remit set to end in
2011, questions have been raised on what progress has been
made in providing adults, who are financially excluded, with
greater access to bank accounts, low-cost credit, remittance
services support and convenient and easy access to impartial
financial and debt advice? Financial inclusion is not simply
about taking corrective action to make markets, which are not
naturally occurring, work more effectively by extending their
services and expertise to the least well-off.
Attend this exclusive and informative forum and hear from key
speakers about methods to improve financial inclusion and

Pennysmart have been selected by Financial Education Website
Charity Credit Action to deliver their ‘Future Ready’ workshops
in the NW/Wales area, it’s a 1 hour session that is targeted at
16-19 year olds in High School or FE colleges, with an
optional module on student finance.
The programme is fully funded by HSBC and is available to
schools free of charge, in England or Wales. If you know of
any schools that might benefit from delivery of one of the
sessions please direct them towards Pennysmart.

The Citizens Advice Financial capability tutor workshop will
be taking place on November 2nd in Leeds. If you would like Summary of Session
to attend this workshop, please complete the attached Packs

links section. The closing date for returning the form is
Friday 15th October. Places will then be allocated after the
Travel expenses are covered up to a maximum of £150. For
those who can't make it to the Leeds date, there will be further
workshops taking place in London in February 2011 and
Birmingham in April 2011, these will be advertised nearer the

The first Money Conference will take place in Leeds at The Leeds Programme
Met Hotel on Thursday 4th November. The second Money
Conference will take place in London at the Department of London Programme

Each conference will give you the chance to hear about the
latest developments in the money advice world, get answers
from a panel of creditors in the popular Ask the Creditors

which will help delegates make information easier to read and Course Information Eng
understand for people with learning disabilities. Delegates will
then be able to produce accessible: Leaflets, Letters, Minutes Course Information Welsh
from meetings, Agendas, Reports, Posters
This one day course will be taking place on October 21st
2010 in Cardiff and January 27th 2011 in Port Talbot.
